The 2009 Iron Mash Party was original scheduled for February 8th but then the Ice Storm hit. Alot of people were without power including myself. That delayed the party and we have new date.

They have reserved us some space in the bar area so try to be early. There is also a Louisville basketball game starting at 4:00pm 

 

This awards presentation is open to all members and their guest. The BOCK home brew club will be here from Lexington. It is great time to mingle and discuss beer and brewing practices.

 

If you are a new member, the Iron Mash is held each year to test your brewing knowledge. It's unlike any other competion in the sense we only know what is in the kit for the BOCK Club. The BOCK Club gives the LAGERS our kits. The only difference between the two clubs are the way the kits are designed. You have 60 minutes to come up with recipe using nothing but the ingredients out of the kit. You have no knowledge of what is in the kit till the day of the brewing. Believe me it is very hard job to accomplish with some of the ingredients in the kits.
