The Bluff City Brewers and Connoisseurs are pleased to announce our 21st Annual Bluff City Brewers & Connoisseurs Extravaganza competition. This is a full 28 category AHA SCP competition based on 2008 BJCP Style Guidelines and is open to all homebrewers.

We will present awards for the following: Best of Show, Best of Show 2nd, Best of Show 3rd, Best of Lagers, Best of Ciders, Best of Ales and Best of Meads. Each judged category will be granted a custom commemorative medal for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.

We will accept entries (two 12 ounce bottles for each entry) from January 23rd through February 6th. Please include a printed copy of your entry form and a check for your entry fees. Fees are $6 per entry and checks are payable to Bluff City Brewers and Connoisseurs. The deadline for contest entries to arrive is February 12th.

Judging will take place in three rounds.
First round: Saturday, February 13th, 2010 at Midsouth Malts, at 9:00 a.m.
Pack the two bottles snugly in a sturdy box lined with a plastic garbage bag. Seal the garbage bag and put the envelope outside of the bag in a prominent place in the box. Do not position the envelope where it could be cut when your box is opened with a knife.
Our club will host a cookout following the Best of Show competition and a brunch the following morning; times and locations are to be determined.

The competition is open to all home brewers.

You may only submit one entry per subcategory, but you may enter any number of categories or subcategories.
Rubber-band a completed Bottle identification form to each of two (2) brown or green glass, 12 to 14 ounce bottles of homebrew. Clear-glass bottles, and bottles smaller than or larger than 12-14 ounces, will be disqualified. Bottles with raised glass lettering are discouraged, but not prohibited.

Using a permanent black marker, obliterate any and all words or pictures on the caps. Fill out an Entry/Recipe Form completely, (you must fill in the category and subcategory you are entering!) and put it, along with a check made out to the Bluff City Brewers for $6.00, (per entry) into an envelope.
